The President Secretariat on Wednesday issued the notification of appointment of Raja Jalal Maqpoon as Governor GB.
Chief Judge Supreme Appellate Court Gilgit Baltistan will administer the oath from Raja at a ceremony to be held in the current week.
Raja Jalal Maqpoon has previously served as President Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf Gilgit Baltistan and he will be the 6th Governor of Gilgit Baltistan.
Earlier, Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan resigned from his post on September 15 this year as the Governor GB. The governor forwarded his resignation to President Arif Alvi. Khan had assumed the role of governor in November 2015 and was appointed by former President Mamnoon Hussain.
