GB Assembly's Committee Meets To Scrutinize Monitory Benefits Of Members, Govt Servants




GILGIT: A special committee of Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Legislative Assembly met here to discuss issues with regard to salaries, perks and privileges of government officers including those serving in judiciary and members of the assembly.

The committee which met with Augrazeb Khan Advocate in the assembly hall the other day expressed anger over absence of any representative from the AG office Gilglit Baltistan and directed for assuring their representation along with required complete record in next meeting. 


The committee directed finance department to present record reflecting salaries and other perks and privileges officers of judiciary within two weeks. 

Services department was also directed to produce required records during next meeting of the committee.

Speaking on the occasion, the committee chairman said that it was a fundamental right of the citizens to have access to information and have knowledge about utilization of taxpayers money. 

He said the committee would compile a comprehensive report in light of the details of those records furnished by the department and the same would be presented during next session of the assembly.

It is to be mentioned here the speaker had constituted the special committee of the house on the point of order raised by MLA Nawaz Khan Naji.

Besides members of the committee, the meeting was attended by officials of relevant departments. Urdupoint
