The First Female Cyclists from Gilgit-Baltistan



Besides the highest literacy rate, Gilgit-Baltistan is also is on the front line for any sports across the globe. From Samina Baig to Diana Baig, to Amina Wali & Ifrah Wali & now the first female cyclists of Gilgit-Baltistan are all representing their motherland with golden milestones.
Anila Shaheen and Laila Kiran, the first female cyclists of Gilgit Baltistan to complete 200km ride from Chittagong to Cox’s Bazar, during “Bangladesh Discovery Ride 2014″ organized by Cogway, Japan where there were 84 participants from 16 different countries such as USA, Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Nepal, Afghanistan and Bangladesh etc. Aneela Shaheen and Laila Kiran were the only participants representing Gilgit-Baltistan.
