Two policemen and a murder suspect found dead in Singal Nala

GHIZAR: Two policemen and a murder suspect were found dead in Singal Nala on Tuesday.

According to police, Zahid Hussain of Bubur and Obaidullah of Khutuhlki, Damas had gone missing on there way back, taking murder suspect, Akber of Tangir, to police station. The suspect was trying to flee after killing his brother-in-law at Gulmuti a day ago.

Police said unknown assailants kidnapped them and threw their bodies in nallah. All three had been killed with axes.


Bodies of all three were found by locals and brought to Singal police station. Zahid Hussain and Obaidullah were later laid to rest in there native villages.

The assailants are likely to cross the border into Tangir. Heavy contingent of police were sent to Singal nallah to arrest the assailants but no progress reported so far.

It is worth mentioning here that significant increase in the incidents of murder, kidnapping and theft of cattle has been witnessed in Ghizar in which assailant infiltrate into the district through Singal nallah. More than 15 people have been killed by barbarian assailants coming from Tangir and Darel during the last few years.

Thousands of  people took to streets on Wednesday to protest against the increasing increasing crime incidents and non-arrest of assailant. The protesters gathered in front of Singal police station and blocked Ghizar road for several hours. Later, they peacefully dispersed after assurances from high police official.
