Protesters present dossier to UN MOG officials in Gilgit

GILGIT: Hundreds of Shia protesters gathered in front of United Nation’s Military Observation Group’s regional office in Gilgit, to registers their condemnation of the targeted killings of passengers in Kohistan, Chilas and Naran Valley. The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against terrorism and terrorists groups. Slogans were also raised against the Taliban and Al-Qaeeda.

A delegation of the protesters presented a dossier containing reports about the targeted attacks and the plight of the region’s people. The protesters also demanded securing of the KKH by deployment of NLI and action against terrorists who have been targeting passengers during this year. They also demanded military action in the troubled areas.

The speakers urged people from all walks of life to join the protests against terrorism.
