GilgiT: The government of Gilgit-Baltistan lifted ban on appointments in government department which was imposed a couple of months past.
Official Sources said the chief minister Syed Mehdi Shah issued directives in this regard and circulated it to all departments. Meanwhile, an official handout said that the ban was lifted but it has been directed by Chief Minister that the departments should start advertising vacant positions so that maximum people could be appointed on merit basis.
It is pertinent to mention here that GB government has created more than 3300 vacancies previous year and process for filling these posts would start now and advertisement has been ordered to complete this task within one week. APP
