New taxes to be imposed: says Kaira

Minister for Kashmir and Northern Areas Affairs Qamar Zaman Kaira said that new taxes will be imposed along with the proposed constitutional reforms package. Speaking to a press conference in Gilgil on August 10, the minister said " the proposed package will also levy new taxes as no government can run country sans taxes." Talking about the forth coming elections for Northern Areas Legislative Assembly the minister said “The elections of Legislative Assembly of Northern Areas will be held this October at all costs,” he claimed reveling, “The budget of Northern Areas will be unveiled twice a year instead of quarterly”. Separate colonies will be built in Gilgit and Iskardu for journalists, Federal Minister announced on the occasion.
