Hunza: President of
Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi arrives in Hunza with his family on private visit
Wednesday.
The President was received by local elders in Aliabad, while a large number of people were also present holding candles in their hands. The candle reception was aimed at highlighting the power crisis in the district.
The president will
visit a musical school where the local artists will perform. Later he will
visit Attabad lake, Passu glacier and Fort Qila.
Earlier talking to media in
Skardu after arrival from Islamabad, the president said “Gilgit-Baltistan is an
important part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). This is one of the
most attractive areas in the world and its economy could get a boost from
tourism and trade with CPEC”.

He also vowed that
the residents of this region will be provided maximum benefits from this mega
project.
The government
wishes for the development of the residents of GB through trade activities, he
further added.
