Chief court rejected bail plea of BNF leader Qayum Khan



Gilgit: The Gilgit Baltistan chief Court has dismissed bail plea of BNF leader Qayum Khan on Tuesday.

The case was fixed before two member bench, headed by Justice Muhammad Umer. As the hearing started, the honorable judge took the file and immediately handed over to the council of the accused, saying that no bail is granted.


Mr Qayum Khan was arrested in July 2016 for allegedly violating the schedule fourth and booked under Anti Terrorism charges. He had filed appeal in the Chief Court after failing to get any relief from Anti- Terrorism Court, Gilgit where he has been appearing for more than two years now.

Several other members of the party, who were also arrested after Qayum Khan, were release by the same court two weeks ago.
