MUZAFFARABAD:
Kashmiri progressive and nationalist organisations have launched a campaign for
the release of Baba Jan, a leader of the Awami Workers Party Gilgit-Baltistan.
In a statement
issued on Sunday, the Jammu and Kashmir People’s National Party (JKPNP)
announced the campaign. A local court has issued an order of 25 years
imprisonment for Baba Jan and his colleagues.
JKPNP also has
announced today that the party will launch another campaign against the AJK
government’s proposed ‘Services Act’ which will deprive government employees to
have right of protest and form a union
being government employees.
This campaign
will be launched nationally and internationally. The party has given a protest
call on June 24 in this regard.
