Italian mountaineer died after falling off Laila peak

Skardu: An Italian mountaineer has died while skiing at Laila peak, sources said on Saturday.

Leonardo was part of a 4 member mountaineering team describing the 20,000 ft laila peak in Baltistan.

Members of expedition arrived at the scene and determined Leonardo had died from multiple traumatic injuries, according to the family sources.

Rescue teams have flown from Hoshay to bring back the remains of Leonardo, however, family sources have said that the Leonardo will be buried in the vicinity of Laila peak.
