KARACHI: Two cousins hailing from Gilgit were shot dead in Karachi on Sunday.
Abdul Aleem, 32 and Kamran Majee, 27, were on their way home in Gulshan-e-Iqbal when unknown assailants opened fire, leaving them seriously injured. The victims were taken to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center (JPMC) where they died. The assailants fled on motorcycles.
The deceased youth were reportedly nephews of Nizam, head of Jamat Islami Gilgit chapter. Kamran and Abdul Ameel were resident of Jutial and Minawar, respectively.
Abdul Haleem was a student of Gomal University in Dera Ismail Khan, while Kamran lived in Mikasaa Apartment situated near the old Sabzi Mandi. Haleem had come to Karachi on vacation few days ago to meet his cousin. Police has termed the incident as target killing.
