Nationalist leaders from Gilgit Baltistan are set to attend a joint convention in India scheduled to be held by the end of this month.
The two day joint convention of “Pakistan India Peoples Forum for Peace and Democracy” scheduled to be held from December 29 to 31, 2011 at Allahabad in Utter Pradesh, India.
Several nationalist and federalist leaders from Gilgit Baltistan have been invited in the conference but a few are likely to leave for India by last week of this month. Though, non of them had been issued visa yet but the process was underway.
Giving details of the conference advocate Chaudhery Munir Hussain, the regional coordinator of PIPFPD, said that besides the leaders from both sides of Line of Control the event is likely to be attended by hundreds of delegates from both the neighboring countries.
Sources said more than 200 Pakistani delegates would be attending the Allahabad conference. Participants would share their expertise and observations regarding the prospects of peace and prosperity besides discussing other regional issues.
